Uniting Talents: Bridging the Divide Between Star Kids and Outsiders
There's some technical glitch is what I've been seeing. What are people saying over there? Is it? Okay, okay. Well, um I think I'll tell you first, then I'll give you your opinions. I don't like any kind of divide, whether it's a film background divide or whether it's not a film background divide. Something that I don't like at all is basically this entire thing where there's a division happening these days and people are I don't know what is happening. So something that is happening right now is this sad divide that has been happening and which I don't like at all between outsiders and star kids because there are certain star kids who deserve to be here whether it's Analia Bhatt, whether it's a Kareena Kapoor, whether it's a Ranbir Kapoor and there are also outsiders who haven't been able to prove their mark. They are still waiting. Not that they are less talented, but the point is that eventually on the basis of talent, people should be divided and judged, not because of what their surname is. And so there are almost 20,000 people right now. Aditya Pathak has said, how are you Nayan? I'm fine. My health is getting worse, but now I think I'm better. I love you Nayan, I love you guys too. Did you guys miss me or no? He's not live now. I'm still trying to figure out who is your favorite actor, whether it's a star kid. Name one star kid, like a star family actor who is your favorite and why. And also name one outsider who is your favorite and why. Because today we have somebody joining us who is a rank outsider and who has made it on her own without any kind of piggybacking. She didn't have any support, so she did everything on her own. So that's something that is very different and refreshing. And also let me tell you that when an outsider becomes, let me talk about myself. I was also an outsider when I joined journalism. So it is indeed very difficult. I wouldn't say that it's not difficult, but at the same time it's not like outsiders and those who have the privilege should have that basis to judge their talent. The one who has the talent will go ahead. I don't know what's happening in between. Hmm. So if I talk about my journey, I always think that from where should I start. I was always a huge Shah Rukh Khan fan. A lot of people tell me, talk about your journey and tell me what you think. So the best part about me is definitely the fact that I was a Bolly Bough. So I was a huge fan of Shah Rukh Khan since my childhood. I was in 7th standard when I got a paper called Telegraph in Schools. Telegraph is very big in Calcutta. Calcutta is where I am from. In Telegraph in Schools, I got this opportunity to become a journalist. And the best thing about Telegraph in Schools was that I got the opportunity to become a journalist. I was told that if I subscribe to this paper, I will get many things. So, that's it.
